[“Aimco”, “we”, or “us”) has prepared this privacy statement ("Statement") to inform you of the privacy principles that govern our text messaging Customer program, which provides text message reminders to you of your scheduled appointment (the "Customer Program"), in addition to those contained in Aimco’s General Privacy Policy. This Statement augments and is incorporated into the General Privacy Policy and the Aimco Text Messaging Terms and Conditions. Aimco has a strong commitment to providing excellent service to all of our customers and participants in our Customer Program, including respecting your concerns about privacy. We understand that you may have questions about how the Customer Program collects and uses the information that you provide to us.

Information We Collect and How We Use It

When you use the Customer Program, Aimco and our trusted Customer Program partners collect, store and process some personal information including the number the message was sent to, the content of the message, and other data necessary to provide the Customer Program to you. We may also commingle such information with other information we have collected or that you have provided to us.

We maintain and process that information to provide the Customer Program to you and to improve the Customer Program. Our computers may process the information in your messages for various purposes, including formatting and displaying the information to you, preventing unsolicited bulk messages (spam), backing up messages, and other purposes relating to offering you the Customer Program.

We may send you information related to the Customer Program or our other services.

We take appropriate organizational and technical measures to protect personal information provided to us or collected by us. Except as otherwise provided herein, we only provide access to this information to our authorized employees who have a need for such access in order to be able to fulfill their given duties.

We will not sell, rent, trade or otherwise transfer any personal information to any third party other than as set forth in our General Privacy Policy  However, we will share necessary personal information with carriers, SMS gateway, other text messaging providers, information technology providers and/or agents in order to provide you with the Customer Program or other services you have requested.
